We bring world class learning within reach of every student, regardless of where they call home.
World class learning is already online and much of it is free. It reaches a fraction of the people who need it, because the connection is missing and because nobody has been trained to run it.
Curio closes that distance. We bring the content, the connection that carries it and the training that keeps it going, then we hand the whole thing over to the school or the hub that will keep running it.

If a piece of work does not put learning within reach of someone who could not reach it before, it is not our work.
Content
Material that has already been tested at scale, aligned to the national curriculum and to the level a class has actually reached. Computer science, AI and coding first, then maths, languages and the rest through vetted apps.
The same applies outside school hours. Digital skills, English and employability content for adults, chosen the same way and delivered through the same hubs.
Connectivity
In every country we work in we take on a local connectivity partner before anything else is agreed. In Rwanda that is TrAC, an internet provider with more than a decade in the market.
We do not build networks and we do not sell internet. We make sure the school can use what is there, and we bring what is not.
Capacity
Every program opens with teacher training, run by our master teacher trainers. They developed the P3 Kit, the flagship toolkit of DoYourBit, a sustainability education partner working with schools, organisations and youth groups. It takes learners through a Planet, People and Prosperity lens to find a real problem, design a response and weigh its impact. Alongside it sit their robotics kits and intergenerational Lego programs.
We do not award certificates ourselves. We work with institutions that do, and with platforms whose recognition already travels, so what a teacher earns stays with them.
The same training model runs for adults, where we focus on reaching women, so upskilling reaches the people most often left out of it.
The same five steps every time, from a weekend bootcamp to a full school year program, and the same again for an adult course at a hub.
Step one of five
We meet the school, the hub or the partner, look at what is already in place, and agree what the learners need most. No two start from the same position.
Step two of five
Content is chosen and adapted to the subject, the level and the time available, and the outcomes are agreed in writing before anything is delivered.
Step three of five
Devices, bandwidth and setup, arranged with the local connectivity partner and tested before the first session rather than on the day.
Step four of five
Trainers come first. Sessions then run with the teachers and facilitators beside us, learning the program as it is delivered.
Step five of five
They keep the material, the training and the ability to run it again. We stay reachable, and we come back to see what changed.

Connectivity
Partners are chosen country by country and agreed before a program is designed. In Rwanda that is TrAC, running an uncontended network and the only tier 3 data centre in the country.

Computer science, AI, robotics and sustainability, taught out of Kenya and Dubai. They run every teacher training, adapt the content and stay on call once a school is live.

Our first bootcamp, run with the Maranyundo Girls School. Teachers were trained before a single student sat down, then taught the sessions alongside us so the school could run the next one on its own.
